If you have a pre-schooler then you will most likely be aware of Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, from the makers of the ever popular Peppa Pig.
Somewhere, hidden amongst thorny brambles, is a little kingdom of elves and fairies. Everyone who lives here is very, very small.
The Little Kingdom is home to Princess Holly and her best friend Ben Elf. Holly is a young fairy who is still leaning how to do magic properly. Ben is an Elf, elves don’t do magic but they are very good at making things.
Along with their friends, Ben and Holly have lots of magical fun.
Alongside the popular TV show there are a range of Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom toys available to enable your little one to recreate the show’s magic in your own home. Both Roo and Tigger enjoy watching the show on Milkshake! before school and were very excited to see that Character Online had sent us a Ben and Holly Thistle Castle Playset to play with.
The playset comes with treasure chest, Holly bed and a Holly figure to allow interaction with the Thistle Castle. The other playsets available within the range are able to connect together to form a large playing area.
At first glance the playset looks like any other playset, however being the Thistle Castle it had to be a little bit magical…
Lift the toy box lid to reveal a slide down to the room below…
Turn the ladle in the cauldron to open an close the fridge and reveal a secret picture on the wall…
Holly’s magical throne moves up and down, whilst alongside her sits a treasure chest that either shows it’s treasure or hides it away…
The Thistle Castle wouldn’t be complete without a book of spells so that Holly can practice getting her spells just right…
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
This is the first Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom playset that we have so I was a little unsure whether Tigger would enjoy it as much as he does his Peppa Pig playsets. I didn’t need to worry as soon as I’d taken the packaging off Tigger, along with Roo had set up a little village with Holly playing in the Thistle Castle and Peppa Pig calling round to play with her (so cute).
Priced at £24.99 it is the average price for a playset this big and even that it come with accessories and the magical extras I think it is worth it’s price tag. Available from Character Online, Amazon and all other good toy retailers.
Disclosure: We received a Ben and Holly Thistle Castle Playset FOC for the purpose of review.
