Have you ever wondered where the day has gone, how that day has turned into a week, then a month and before you know it a year has passed. When I look at Roo and Tigger I wonder where the time has gone, from those first precious cuddles in hospital to packing them off to junior school and pre-school this year.
When Roo started school it was a real heartache as not only was she starting school, Tigger started nursery and I had to return to work following maternity leave (it was a very emotional day). Thankfully though we made it through the day and had extra cuddles that evening to make up for the time we were all apart.
Earlier this year Tigger made the leap from nursery to pre-school which at the time I was very unsure as to whether this was the best decision for him. Looking back it was the best possible decision and he has come on leaps and bounds since then. Back to school this year has meant all change for Roo as she transferred from infant school up to junior school, from being that big fish in a little pond to the little fish in a big pond. I think she is still feeling a little unsure about it all but nothing a cuddle or two can’t fix.
Being a working mum I have missed a proportion of both their pre-school years, but I hope that they will look back on their childhood and remember that even though I was at work some of the time we still managed to have a truck full of fun and always time for cuddles.
Fairy recognises that time passes so quickly from those sleepless nights, baby sick stained clothes and moments when it seems like they will never EVER stop crying, to packing them off on their first day at school. But a cuddle with your baby somehow makes it all worthwhile – especially with their clothes washed Fairy Non Bio as it’s the softest they will ever be.
I hope that there is always time for cuddles
