If your company is a good company, you may be able to get them to pay for your courses, as they will be the ones that benefit from your development.
Networking
Networking isn’t always the most fun thing to do, but when done right, it can be very successful, especially in improving your career. Networking events give you the chance to meet industry professionals at all senior levels. By getting to know different people, you can share your knowledge and expertise with them, and when they require the services you offer, you’ll already have one foot in the door for them to pick you to help them over someone else who has a similar background to you.
Take on additional responsibilities
The best thing you can do to impress others is to take on additional responsibilities when they are presented to you. The more responsibilities you take on, the more you can impress the people above you, which in the long run, will put you in the driver’s seat when promotions come about. For example, don’t be afraid to take on roles that your manager doesn’t enjoy doing, such as putting together presentations or offering to work later in order to complete a time-sensitive task.
