June 20, 2014

The best kind of family fun with the children is the learning fun that they don’t realise that they are having. From walking home from school and spotting letters and number on registration plates to counting the steps up the stairs, children are exposed to learning in all different scenario’s.

They also sell a range of board games which are a little different to any board games you may have played in the past. Learning benefits

Frida’s Fruit Fiesta game helps children learn the alphabet in a fun and engaging way. Kids also learn some light strategy, social skills (such as taking turns and following directions) and pre-hand writing skills.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

I really love that the funky shaped box is also part of the game (one less piece no to lose), housing the fruit bowls within the base of the box keeps this neat and tidy and helps the little ones nab their required letter. It did take Tigger a few times to work out that he needed to keep squeezing as he got the matching letter but he is only 3 years old. What I have been doing with him is getting him to pick up a letter and match it on a card to help with his letter recognition.

Roo however, is a whiz at the game although she is quite crafty as she will look to see if you need one of the letters on your board from the three on the spinner and hi-jack it so you have to select a new row to complete on your card (cheeky miss). She has also been trying to teach Tigger to spell his name as well as her own using the fruit bowls, he isn’t quite there yet but it’s something to work on.

Priced at £24.99 it may seem a little expensive for a board game however as this one can be used is so many ways I believe it is well worth paying that little bit extra.

Disclosure: We received Frida’s Fruit Fiesta™ Alphabet Game FOC for the purpose of review.
