Throughout the year parents will hear those familiar words uttered by their darling children… I’m bored! There are going so many times you can tell them that they have 101 things to keep them occupied or that when you were a child you only bothered your parents when you were hungry. To help you get through their ‘I’m bored’ phase I have a collection of board games for bored kids to show you.
Board games for Bored Kids
Hopefully, these will entertain the children long enough for them to have fun and who said that they are just for the kids? Mums and Dads, Grans and Grandads, Aunts and Uncles… it’s time to brush up on your competitive side and see if you can beat the kids, erm I mean have fun too!
Horrible Histories – The Board Game
From the incredibly popular Horrible Histories series, a game to test your knowledge of our gruesome past.
From the Rotten Romans to the Vile Victorians and beyond, this brilliantly entertaining game takes you on a journey through history. Move around the board by answering a question from three (often very odd!) answers or perform an action, like miming Admiral Nelson.
For 2 to 4 players, watch out for cheeky Rattus and his Horrible Chance cards, from being press-ganged into the navy to being accused of witchcraft! With over 600 questions, packed with foul facts and hilariously misleading possible answers, fabulous fun!
Family Quiz Night Game
It’s the all-inclusive quiz game that allows everyone to join in the fun!
The questions in this family-friendly quiz have been carefully crafted so that both kids and adults can play on a level playing field. With 1,200 questions the game will provide endless fun for the whole family.
Each card contains a multiple-choice question for younger players and a more challenging question for adults. Features an awesome range of fun questions covering eight popular topics and can be played individually or as kids vs adults in teams.
Upside Down Challenge Game
When the world is flipped upside down, easy tasks become a real challenge!
You’ll be amazed how difficult even the simplest tasks become when you put on these special goggles, with an adjustable strap. With your vision flipped upside down, compete to do the 100 ‘easy’ drawing and activity challenges, like putting a top on a pen, giving a high five or even just writing your name! And when you try ‘simply’ pouring water from one bottle into another, things are going to get very messy and very funny! Sure to get you and your friends laughing out loud, absolutely brilliant!
Topix – The Fast-Thinking Naming Game
Topix – the game of rapid recall. Pick a topic tile and take a turn… It’s a race against the clock to list as many things as you can that are related to your topic. But there’s a cunning catch – only answers that begin with the given letter will count! From ‘FILM TITLES’ beginning with ‘T’… To ‘THINGS FOUND IN THE SEA’ beginning with ‘B’… The possibilities are endless!
Everyone plays at once so there’s no hanging around. A great family board game, TOPIX tests your powers of recall and invention as you race to add unique answers to the lists created by other players. Played individually or in teams, this quick-thinking game is instant fun for all.
