From an early age, women will spend a great deal of money on their make-up, whether it is their pocket money or money from their first job. Make-up always has been and continues to be a spending habit of women but this does not mean that we have to stop buying it. All it simply means is that we need to learn a few tricks in order to help us get the most out of our make-up.
Shop for your make up with Black Friday Deals
Firstly, shop for your make up with Black Friday Deals this ensures that you bag the best prices on make-up and beauty products. You will find premium brands including Elemis, Thalgo and Vichy are on offer during Black Friday – you just need to know where to look! There are also Black Friday Perfume deals that make great Christmas gifts.
Buy a make-up lesson
Secondly one of my top tips is to buy a make-up lesson, which I actually think is a superb present for older teens and women by the way! I learnt many tricks of the trade this way.
Mascara
It seems that mascaras are constantly evolving. There is always a new product on the market with the latest technology that claims to make your lashes longer and your eyes wider. And whilst these are good products the cost soon racks up unless you know how you can achieve a long-lashed, wide-eyed look for much less. All you need to do is curl your eyelashes before you apply your mascara and it looks so much better!
This will immediately make your eyes look bigger, and your lashes look longer. The next thing you will need to do is apply a powder foundation over your eyelashes. Once you apply your mascara, this will make your eyelashes look much longer.
The way in which you apply your mascara is important. Remove the wand from the tube for about one minute before you apply your mascara. This will help to avoid any clumps. Hold the wand at the base of your eyelashes and move it gently from side to side as you move up the lashes. You will need to apply mascara to the bottom lashes. Hold the wand vertically and move it from side to side. Follow this up by combing gently through as you would normally, this will help to make the lashes look more even.
Lip liner
Another tip is to use your lip liner to outline your lips as you normally would. But instead of switching to lipstick, fill your lips in with the lip liner. This will give you a more even, longer-lasting look. It’ll also achieve a more natural result.
Eyeliner
Turn your eye shadow into an eyeliner by dipping a very small damp brush or cotton bud (Q tip) into the shadow and blending along the lash line. This will give you a longer-lasting eyeliner in a wide variety of colours.
Long-lasting lipsticks can be incredibly drying and incredibly expensive. Instead of using long-lasting lipsticks, use budget lipsticks, and protect them with a clear sealant.
These are a few tips that were shared with me during a make-up lesson and they really make a difference. Remember Black Friday is a great opportunity to stock up on premium brands for the year ahead and Notino has you covered with their amazing deals.
