Life In Lockdown… I don’t really know where this week has gone. I feel as though I’ve missed a day or two from this week. With What The Dad Said back at work we have fallen back into our usual routines. Still hard to watch him head out for a shift when we are all at home.
Life In Lockdown {Week 21}
ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure
Family adventures continued this week with a socially distanced trip to ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure. The children love visiting here and it was lovely to spend time outdoors and exploring together. With Roo finally being able to have a chance to try the Predator High Ropes course (it’s always been closed on our previous visits). She loved it, although she didn’t get to complete the whole course within her session time or try out the zipline section.
Back to school shopping
I don’t think anyone knows for certain whether the children will return to school in September. Whilst I’d love to hold off tackling the back to school shopping until closer to the time. My control-freak nature is fretting about not having things ordered. So I’ve made a start on the back to school shopping. With Roo gathering all the stationery she needed (plus extra) on our trip to Tesco this week. Thankfully she doesn’t need to much uniform as her stationery haul was costly enough.
Comparison is the thief of joy
We are all guilty of comparing elements of our lives, especially when a particular area might not be going well for you. Yet someone you know or you see a post on social media that shows you how much better/easier they have it. I’ve fallen under the comparison spell this week. Feeling frustrated and asking why do things not go smoothly for us. It’s fruitless exercise as I can’t change how things happen for us, never mind anyone else. Nevertheless, a dose of good karma would be very much appreciated.
