ASDA Wooden Garage

February 18, 2014

Whilst watching Tigger play with his toys the other day, Mr Boo commented that he was exactly the same at his age. All he thought about was cars, trains and well pretty much anything that wheels. Tigger has always been a great fan of Thomas & Friends but recently I have watched him add Lightning McQueen and Mater into the fold. So when we were offer the opportunity to review a Wooden Garage from ASDA I wondered whether it would be cars or trains riding up and down the tracks.

Wooden Garage Dimensions

  • 50cm(W) x 40cm(L) x 46.5cm(H)
  • Playmat: 59cm(L) x 50cm (W)

This First Learning Wooden Garage has plenty of space for your little one’s car collection. Its fun features include a Car Wash, Petrol Station, Helipad and a Ticket Booth. Best of all, it comes with 4 vehicles so this set is all your child will need for hours of fun.

The Wooden Garage features fun interactive elements that will allow you child to use the elevator to move cars to different levels, and then drive them down the ramps to the ground level. They can fill up the car with petrol at the fuel pumps or drive through the car wash.

Helps children learn about transportation systems and different occupations in a city, whilst also improving hand-eye coordination.

Wooden Garage includes:

  • Colourful playmat
  • Moveable lift
  • Car wash
  • Helicopter
  • 4x Vehicles
  • Ticket barrier
  • Patrol station

Tigger being mad about all things transport related was over the moon when he saw the box in the dining room, whilst Mr Boo tried to tell him he would put it together the following day, Tigger of course was having none of it and went to get all his other cars ready to play with the garage. Mr Boo finally relented and put together the garage and Tigger has been adding more and more cars to it ever since.

The instructions included were clear and easy to understand, however several of the pieces did not line up as well as they possibly could have. The garage itself is made from a compressed wooden pulp board (like MDF) so you do need to take care when screwing the sections together not to split the boards. Personally I would recommend using a traditional screwdriver and not a power tool to make sure that you express the caution needed.

Priced at just £25.00 and available either instore or at ASDA.com it would make a great birthday present for any little car enthusiastic youngster.

Disclosure: We received a Wooden Garage FOC for the purpose of review.
