Getting ready for family summer adventures

June 28, 2019

This is a gifted partnership

Looking for some summer fun? Tired of sitting at home when the weather is nice. Use these ideas to get out, go on and a family adventure and make memories.

Sometimes, people think that going out or taking a trip has to be a big affair. Some people don’t do it simply because it is expensive. It doesn’t have to be. Plan little day trips, have some fun and enjoy the day.

Visit an Attraction

Is there a local park, museum or other fun places that you have been planning to go, but just never get around to it. Plan your trip today. Most places allow you to come and go once you have bought your ticket, as long as you get a hand stamp. Make a day of it. Visit the attraction, enjoy the day. If it is a place that can be visited in a short time, see what other things that you can do in the area. I like to look for other free attraction in the area. This way I can take the kids, we can enjoy our time, and even if we finish early, I have a list of other things we can do.

Pack up the swimsuits, floaties, and head to the beach

A day at the beach is inexpensive and a load of fun. Bring a picnic with you, using the Maped Helix Picnik and the day is even easier. You won’t have to worry about leaving the beach to get something to eat or drink. You want to make sure that the containers and lunch bags are thermal in order to keep the food cold. I would still recommend an ice pack just to help combat the hot sun. Picnics are perfect for all of these outings.

Go Hiking

A lot of kids will moan and groan about going on a hike, but it is usually because they are expected to just walk and be quiet. Make it fun. Give the kids a scavenger hunt. Give them binoculars or other things to help keep them entertained. These little steps will help kids learn that taking a walk and going for a hike is a great way to get and it is fun.

Day at the Park

Just like the beach, a day at the park can be a great way to spend the day. Teach the kids to skip rocks. See who can climb the slide faster. Create fun challenges. A day at the park can make a hundred memories, help everyone get some energy out and enjoy the weather.

No matter what you plan to do this summer, the important thing is to get out and have fun, together as a family.
