Anyone who follows my Instagram feed will know how much we love visiting SEALIFE Centres with the children – and now it’s just got a lot cheaper and easier to add in another visit.
How to redeem your half-price entry
To redeem, please bring the promotional pack to a ticketing booth at Alton Towers Theme Park, Warwick Castle or any SEA LIFE Centre & Sanctuary in the UK. This can be an empty promotional bottle taken to your chosen attraction and exchanged for half price entry. However, you can also take full promotional bottles along with you in exchange for half price entry. These bottles will then be donated to a local food bank – which is something that we have been discussing with the children about how everyone can do little things to help others.
Encouraging children to wash their hands
When it comes to getting the children to wash their hands any parent will tell you that this can be something that you have to remind them to do – time and time again. However, I have two tricks up my sleeve that usually helps – as well as ensuring they are washing them correctly rather than just showing them to the water.
Firstly, select a hand wash that they love. This is why we love Carex as it comes in a whole host of different colours as well as smells. With some funky strawberry lines and unicorn magic ones available at the moment. This will help encourage them to reach for a squirt after using the toilet, being outside, getting messy etc.
Secondly, this is a trick that Iearned on an infection control course many moons ago when I worked for the NHS. Whilst I won’t bore you with the correct method for washing your hands, half of the battle is ensuring that you are washing for long enough. So I get the children to sing ‘happy birthday’ whilst they wash their hands. Only when they finish the song do they rinse the bubbles from their hands. Trust me that once you start doing this with the children you will be doing it too – although try not to sing in public bathrooms, people tend to look at you a little funny!
