Print your own Valentines Day card

February 7, 2014

In case it has escaped your notice Valentines Day is fast approaching for another year. In our everyday busy lives, it is sometimes easy to have the best intentions of choosing the perfect gift, planning a beautiful meal and selecting a card that is as perfect as your loved one. The reality is you are anything like me is forgetting the card, I always remember to order Mr Boo’s present in advance thinking about delivery times etc… his card however I keep thinking ‘oh I’ll pick that up when I’m in town’ and then totally forget.

This is where the ability to print a personalised Valentines Day card at home really helps, with the HP Photo Creations suite that is free to download you can choose, personalise and print a card in minutes. Of course, don’t forget to first check that you have enough printer ink! If not, you can stock up easily here.

To start making your own Valentines creations all you need to do is:

  1. Download HP Photo Creations to your computer – you can do so via this link http://www.hp.com/global/uk/en/consumer/digital_photography/free/software/photo-creations.html
  2. Once you’ve opened the program, select ‘Cards’ from the banner menu at the top of the page
  3. Select ‘Valentine’s Cards
  4. From here you can choose various templates which can be personalised with your photos (see some examples below)
  5. Once you’ve made your choice and personalised your card, follow the instructions to print via your printer, personally I use the HP Envy 4500

The selection of cards to choose from is very good, with options of uploading your own photos, changing text and options of where you want a flat card or a traditional folded card. As Mr Boo and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this year I thought it would be nice you incorporate one of our wedding photos into his Valentines Day card.

Having managed to make sure I was nice and organised I suggested to Roo that maybe she could help Daddy make Mummy Valentine’s Day card so whilst I was out she sat Daddy down at the laptop and they managed to create me a card.
