Mum, wardrobe crisis and a shift in dynamics #LittleLoves

May 31, 2019

Here we are again, the last Friday of the month. I’m finally organised enough to be writing this first thing in the morning despite it being the half term holidays. The truth is that I’m attending a funeral later today and I’m attempting to distract myself from the emotions that go with a day like today.

#LittleLoves for May…

Read

Reading has sadly fallen by the wayside this month. A mix of family commitments and work tasks needing my attention. Has meant that I’ve only read a handful of pages of ‘One Day in December‘. I’m hoping to finish this and work my way through ‘Things we never said‘ by the end of next month.

Watched

By accident, I stumbled upon a series called ‘Mum‘ from the BBC a while back. It’s a funny series following Cathy, the mum as she navigates life following the death of her husband. How she manages to smile through some of the things her family does is beyond me. It has just returned for its third series and I’m attempting to be patient and watch each week as it is broadcast rather than binge-watching on the BBC iPlayer.

Wore

I’m in the midst of a wardrobe crisis. Not really feeling anything that is currently hanging in there. I never really adapt well to the changing of seasons from the long sleeves of autumn and winter to the short sleeves and more fitting spring and summer season. With two events to attend this past month, I managed to pick up two oversized tee style tops from H&M (only £3.99 each – bargain). Not entirely sure that they suit me, but they are ever so comfortable to wear.

Made

This month has all been about a shift in dynamics at home. We are attempting to find a new balance for us all. From the everyday tasks and responsibilities to the bigger picture stuff. We’re still finding our feet with it all but once we’re in the groove I think everyone will benefit.

Lastly

I’m so proud to announce that I’ve been selected as a Studio ambassador. I’ll be working with the brand over the next eight months showcasing the fabulous variety and prices they offer. I did a little DITL video during the immersion day I attended to find out all about the brand. I’d love for you to take a look.
