Earlier this week I was sorting through Roo’s school uniform to see what still fitted and what I’d need to replace before the new school year begins in September. She has outgrown her pinafore dresses and needs some new polo shirts/blouses so I’ve ordered her two new pinafores with blouses from Debenhams, currently with 20% off only £11.20 each (bargain).
Whilst I was busy sorting through the uniform we were chatting about her school colours. Roo’s school allow children/parents to opt for either red or royal blue jumpers/cardigans, Roo prefers to wear red. The grey unfortunately is mandatory, dull, boring grey… I suppose I have to be thankful it is not brown like a school in my local area when I was younger (boy did we call them some horrible names… sorry).
Roo was clearly getting bored of my clothes organisation so I decided to set her a little challenge… if you didn’t have to wear a grey pinafore what would you wear? I asked her.
So I grabbed the roll of lining paper we use for crafts and a set of Sharpie pens and drew around one of her old pinafore dress and asked her to design a pinafore she would wear for school.
