One of the things that I wanted to work on this year was my YouTube channel. It has been up and running more or less since I started blogging, however, it has been somewhat neglected. For a long while, it has showcased our memories from visiting Butlins and our trips to Drayton Manor.
Meeting targets and having a go
Whilst I haven’t achieved great things with it this year, I have managed to almost meet my target of 2000 subscribers. I have also managed to do my first real on camera piece in the #SNSHamper video which I was so nervous about doing. I got there in the end and is by no means as good as the other bloggers who were also involved in the campaign.
Favourite Videos
I am, however, proud of some of the little videos I have done and shared on my channel this year. The Cadbury Egg Hunt has to be my favourite video as it showcases two of my babies looking so cute (if I do say so myself).
Going forward
I’d love for my YouTube channel to be so much more than it is at the moment. Everyone keeps telling me that I should be really pushing my channel – however, pushing it to what? I’m not sure I’ll ever feel 100% comfortable chatting to camera in vlog, I don’t have the time, skills or patience to make fabulous ‘day in our life’ videos (although I love to watch them).
Who knows? I need to make some sort of plan as to what my YouTube channel will be going forward – for now, it is just a mixture of everything, a jumble of randomness, a bit like the thoughts inside my head.
