What a week of beautiful sunshine, my washing line has never been used so much (that makes me sound so old and boring). It’s been a busy week with meetings, events, and school activities – I don’t know if I’m coming or going at the moment, but I don’t think family life is ever boring or the same from week to week.
Read
Both Roo and Tigger received certificates for their reading at school. As they have read at least four times a week for the past 40 weeks they also were able to select a book to keep. With Tigger selecting a Diary of the Wimpy Kid book after seeing the film over half term and loving it so much. Whilst Roo opted for the Dork Diaries – Drama Queen (so perfect for her). I’m so proud of them that they have kept up to date with their reading (and their maths too).
Watched
I don’t feel as though I have watched anything other than my daily dose of Love Island this week. Although I have been watching segments of James and The Giant Peach on Netflix with Tigger – usually 10-20 minutes at a time so it’s going to take us a while to watch it all.
Heard
Laughter, giggling and fun – With the warmer weather I’ve had most of the windows open at home. It’s so lovely to hear the sound of laughter, giggles, and fun from the gardens. Everyone making the most of the sunshine and having BBQ’s with family and friends. Splish, splashing from paddling pools and the bouncing from trampolines.
Made
It’s Father’s Day this weekend so I have been busy planning a family BBQ. We are away for the day on Saturday so I’ve been making lists of food I need to buy from the supermarket today, what I need to buy first thing on Sunday and what meat I need to get out from the freezer to defrost.
Wore
The weather has been glorious here most of the week so a great excuse to get the summer dresses out for Piglet. I adore this snapshot I took of her playing in her room this week. She is wearing a ditsy flower print dress with matching knickers from Boots Mini Club (currently £5.00 in the sale – bargain).
Lastly
I’m completely and utterly disorganised at the moment. I feel as though I’m chasing my tail and putting out fires rather than being proactive and having everything in place. It’s not something that sits easily with me which is making me even more disorganised. I need to kick myself up the bum and get back into the swing of things.
