A little boy that is standing in the kitchen

Accounts, Broadchurch and Baking #LittleLoves

April 22, 2017

Just like that the Easter holidays are over and the children are back at school. It doesn’t feel as though they have been off for a little over two weeks. We do, however, have May Day to look forward to soon and of course, the next half term isn’t a million miles away.

I’m not sure that receipts and invoices count but this year I’m determined to be organised. So I’ve been ensuring that all my expenses etc are all up to date in order to complete my self-assessment. The irony to this is that I have lost my login for the SA website so I’ve had to request a new one to come via the post. At least I’ll be ready to go once it arrives.

Watched

Broadchurch! After waiting until the last minute to binge watch all the episodes we managed to watch the final episode as it went out on ITV

Heard

The Pitch Perfect films are my pick me up films. The energy and the songs just make me smile no matter how many times I have watched them. This week I haven’t had much time to enjoy the films, however, with thanks to Spotify I have been enjoying the soundtracks whilst I work.

Made

With ample supplies of chocolate and Mini Eggs in the house, Roo and I decided to bake some cookies and treats. We haven’t had a baking session for a while and we were very rusty so we must make more time to get in the kitchen together.

Wore

I managed to catch the Sainsburys 25% off TU clothing on Bank Holiday Monday. With the hope that I could get myself a couple of new tops. I ended up leaving with more items for the children than I did for myself – always the way. I did, however, pick you a gorgeous pink rain mac for Piglet. They only had 12-18m months so she’ll have to grow into it but all the same, it is adorable.

Lastly

This week has been challenging, Tigger has a case of Slapped Cheek which thankfully as he has the red cheeks he is no longer contagious so able to return to school. Piglet is also unwell, a mixture of teething, possible Slapped Cheek and a probable virus means that I have seen more of the twilight hours that I’d care to.
