One of the weekend treats that I’ve always enjoyed with the children is heading to the cinema. I’m lucky in that both Roo and Tigger love their films and are always so excited to see what is showing. Sometimes I’ll book online during the week, deciding which film to see, however, we do often play the Russian roulette of turning up and picking from whatever is available.
ODEON Kids offers a huge range of films, which change every six to eight weeks, giving families the chance to enjoy a whole host of titles from big adventures to far-far-away lands from just £2.50* each, for the whole family.
With the screenings held in the mornings, it means I capture them at their best and allows us to explore the city in the afternoons too. With Piglet now tagging along for our film outings, I don’t have to worry about her babbling along as the ODEON Kids screenings are tailored to children. So rattling of popcorn and sweet bags, running commentary from the talkative child and frequent trips to the toilets are all part and parcel of the experience.
This doesn’t mean that your film viewing will be ruined, the children never notice the extra bits going on and all the parents in the room do that silent salute to the ones having a rough time or are scrambling for the fruit shoot bottle that has rolled under four rows of seats.
This October half term (Monday 24 – Friday 28 October**) families can catch animated favourites from the past year, including The Secret Life of Pets, Finding Dory, The BFG and Pete’s Dragon. Tickets for ODEON Kids screenings are on sale now – with no booking fees – via the ODEON website: www.odeon.co.uk/kids
