It’s that time of the year again where bloggers up and down the country are getting ready to gather together and fill The Brewery, London for Britmums Live.
This year the conference is being held on just one day instead of its usual two days so it will be interesting to see whether the new format works (might help us all focus on the sessions more instead of chatting too much).
I’ve been lucky enough to be sponsored to attend Britmums Live this year by Trolley Bags. If you haven’t tried their amazing shopping packing bags then you really need to (feel free to grab me and I’ll tell you all about them).
I’m going to #BML16

Is this my first blogging event?
No. I’ve been blogging since 2011 so I have been to several blog conferences over the years. I missed Britmums Live last year as I was pregnant with Piglet and really didn’t feel up to travelling.
I will be wearing…
With a week to go, I haven’t got a clue (is that really bad?). I’ll most likely be in a pair of floral trousers as they are so comfortable paired with a t-shirt. I do want to treat myself to some new sandals, something that can withstand all the walking that I’ll be doing.
What I hope to gain from #BML16:
I don’t think there is anyone who thinks that they know it all. For me, it is about learning the hacks that other bloggers have found, whether they are using a great plugin that makes their life easier or a new photo editing program.
SEO is my main focus for this year as I would like to make sure that my posts are found and read over the years rather than just within the first month or two of being published.
My tips for a great conference:
Keep hydrated, it can be a long day and very warm with lots of bodies in one room so to stop tiredness, headaches, and crankiness make sure you have enough to drink. Then I would say it is about introducing yourself to those you recognise by the photos on their blogs or by looking at their badges (you’ll spend a lot of time looking at other people’s breasts as that is where badges tend to fall, don’t be alarmed they will be looking at yours too).
Partner in crime or going stag?
I’ll be travelling down with Mandi from Hex Mum Blog, who also has the pleasure of sharing a room with me too (I promise not to talk too much!).
