Roo has quite fine hair, the wispy type of hair that fall out of any kind of creation I attempt to put into her hair (unless I use a tin of hairspray, which is then, in turn, a nightmare to wash). You would think that brushing her hair would be relatively stress-free, however, this is not the case.
Whenever her hair is wet from swimming or from the bath it is a complete nightmare to brush. I have tried adding more conditioner, sectioning her hair and different drying techniques – all of which have failed. It always results in us falling out over getting her hair brushed and tied back.
After asking several friends what they do with their children’s hair the Tangle Teezer was mentioned a few times so I was keen to see whether this would ease our wet hair brushing woes.
Tangle Teezer
The Tangle Teezer Compact Styler smooths, shines and defines on the go. Ideal for regular hair types, it tames stray strands and detangles wet or dry hair with its two-tiered regular-flex teeth which glide through the hair without pulling and are protected by a click-on cover.
Price and Availability
The Original Tangle Teezer is available for just £10.60 and the Compact Styler Tangle Teezer is priced from £12.25 – both available from Tangle Teezer.
How the Tangle Teezer works
After her usual long soak in the bath, Roo emerged with a towel and Tangle Teezer in her hand. Using it for the first time I was pleased to find that it fitted well within my hand and that it was comfortable to hold whilst taking strokes through Roo’s hair. It managed to go through her hair much easier than her usual hairbrush and without pulling or snagging on her hair.
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
Roo is finding it much easier to brush her hair especially after washing it or swimming. I’m loving that the groundhog day argument of hair brushing is just a bad memory and that she is once again happy to have her hair done.
