Dear Roo (or should that be to my early riser?)
Ever since you were a tiny baby you have been an early riser. There are not many times throughout the year when you sleep past 7am. It seems that no matter what time you go to bed your internal body clock wakes you between 6am and 6.30am.
Getting up early during the week is great, you get to spend some quality time with Daddy before he leaves for work. It allows you to go at your own pace in the morning when it comes to eating your breakfast and getting ready for school.
The weekends however should be different, you should use these two days to recharge your batteries and enjoy a lay-in – even if it means you get up at 7am. Whilst you are happy to get up early every day the rest of the family aren’t and Tigger has suffered lots of early morning wake up calls whilst he has been sleeping in your room – thankfully now he is back in his own room he is able to enjoy sleeping in (and I’m appreciating the 8am wake up call from him at the weekends).
So my darling early riser instead of getting up so early why not try turning over and going back to sleep or reading a book in your bed until it is at least 7am on a weekend – pretty please the rest of your family love their sleep.
Love you Mummy xox
