There is always a big deal about Cadbury Creme Eggs being available to buy straight after Christmas. With many people declaring it is too early and that we need to at least get Valentine’s Day out of the way before we see the return of Easter products on the supermarket shelves.
It feels as though every year the different food products for each season are available that little bit longer. I for one am pleased that at hot cross buns are available almost all year round depending on which supermarket I head into.
Hot cross buns
Personally I love a nice warm hot cross bun, there is however one person who loves a hot cross bun or two… Tigger. In fact it’s one of his food staples, and will quite happily have one for breakfast, lunch and tea (if I’m not able to persuade him to eat something different).
He has recently decided that he needs to help me prepare his hot cross buns (you know in case I get it wrong). So he’ll bring in his little steps, climb up and help butter them before quickly running off to munch it at the table.
I’m not quite sure what it is about hot cross buns that he loves so much, he does love raisins so maybe that is it but at least he is eating something.
