Dear Tigger
Sometimes I look at you whilst we are busy playing taxi service for yet another of Roo’s after school activities. I wonder how you feel about being transported here and there so that your big sister can attend hockey or football or Cub Scouts.
Without batting an eyelid you get your coat and shoes on, head out of the door, strapped into your car seat as we go to either drop Roo off or collect her from that days activity.
Recently I have been staying to help with Roo’s Cub Scout group, which has meant that you’ve had to stayed with me as Daddy is still at work. At first you were your usual quiet, unsure self around the other helpers even though you know most of them from your pre-school where they are teachers or assistants. It’s over the past few weeks that you’ve come out of your shell and happily chatting away and play with the others. It’s in light of this interaction and your fun-loving attitude that the Cub Scout leader brought you in your very own badge. Standing proud you shook his hand and took the badge whilst saying thank you.
You were so very proud to have your very own badge, so proud in fact that you wanted it pinning to your pre-school uniform the next morning so that you could show all your friends…
I promise it will be your turn soon to have after school activities etc, but until then please keep wearing your badge of honour.
Love you Mummy xox
