It seems to have become tradition that the first weekend of the New Year sees myself, Roo and Tigger make time for panto. This was our third year of heading off to enjoy the panto of the season. With thanks to my Unison subscription via my work that we received discounted tickets and the date had been on our calendar since November.
St George’s Theatre
Attending our local St George’s Theatre in Great Yarmouth the children were excited to see this year’s pantomime offering – Aladdin.

Having attended the pantomime at St George’s Theatre last year I was surprised to see that many of the cast had returned for this season – although the children didn’t seem to recognise them.
There is something about pantomimes that suck you in and you can’t help giggling along with the silliness, bad jokes and innuendoes. The story unfolded slightly different to how we remembered the story with a lady of the ring talking in rhyme.
With a number of musical numbers performed within the Panto including ‘Happy‘ from Pharrell Williams. They even managed to work the Frozen hit ‘Let It Go‘ performed as Aladdin and his family were going in search of the lamp – with the addition of a snow machine the whole audience we singing along.
