Gone are the sandals and flip-flops of the summer, the colder weather calls for something more substantial on our feet. Whilst winter boots may keep our feet warm they can be rather impractical, with hard and inflexible soles. Young feet especially require the freedom of barefoot movement however this isn’t always practical. VIVOBAREFOOT have produced a range of shoes for both children and adults with barefoot technology, helping feet move, flex and gain natural sensory.
VIVOBAREFOOT recently got into touch with Boo Roo and Tigger Too to see whether we would like to try out a pair of their children’s boots to try out the barefoot technology.
Becks Junior Boots
Roo was kindly sent a pair of the VIVOBAREFOOT Becks Junior boots, in a warm burgundy. The pull on style boot which includes a faux shearing lining enables little ones to put their boots on independently without the annoyance of zips.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
Opening the box I was keen to have a feel of the barefoot technology, especially the flexible soles as Tigger still struggles with shoes/trainers that have rigid soles. Roo keen to get them on her feet whipped them out of the box and popped them on without a problem. Walking around the house she did comment that the bottoms (soles) of the boots felt a little funny but in a good way.
The soft, supple sole with its hexagon trend was certainly something new to me, and once we were out at the park and climbing on tree stumps etc I could see them coming into their own. Watching Roo as she climbed I could see the boots flexing and moulding to the terrain that she was on at the time. The suppleness allowed her to get her feet in between branches and climb without difficulties faced when wearing her rigid soled shoes/boots.
Priced at £65.00 they are a little on the expensive side but given the feeling of being barefoot whilst enjoying the warmth and comfort of a boot the cost can be justified.
