Christmas brings many things into our lives from decorations, visits to Santa to let him know what we’d like to find under the Christmas tree come Christmas morning. It also brings us some amazing Christmas songs which we only get to listen to during the run up to Christmas. Christmas songs are fabulous, they can really get you in the mood for Christmas whether you are putting up the decorations, wrapping presents or driving home for Christmas (did you like what I did there??).
In the Boo Roo and Tigger Too household we all have a different favourite Christmas song and it got me to wondering what everyone else’s favourite Christmas song is and why that particular song is their favourite. During the run up to Christmas please pop over each morning to see which blogger is sharing their favourite Christmas song, don’t forget to show them some love by leaving a comment if it is one of your favourite’s too or if you have a particular memory associated to that Christmas song.
I thought it was only fair to share our favourite Christmas songs…
Personally I love Let It Snow by Dean Martin
There is just some soothing and classic about Dean Martin’s voice coupled with the traditional idea of love birds not wanting to say goodbye on cold, snowy winters evening. The thought of love in his heart keeping him warm all the way home makes me smile every time.
Roo on the other hand loves Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin Stevens
She would listen to this Christmas song in Granny’s car when my Mum lived here. They would head off out in the car to take the dog to the beach, pop to the supermarket or wherever with this song blasting out at full volume on repeat, singing their hearts out. Every time we hear it she tells me of the fun she used to have with Granny, she really misses not having her close by (so do I).
Tigger hasn’t really got into Christmas songs as such but does love singing when Santa got stuck up the chimney.
