Whether you live in the area or you’re designing an itinerary for your family trip, it’s always good to be aware of what’s on offer nearby to keep young children entertained. Although there are beaches aplenty for the warmer days, there are also tourist attractions for when the weather isn’t quite seaside-worthy. Here are just five of our favourites…

SEA LIFE Sanctuary Hunstanton
Become buddies with sharks, stingrays, and seals at the Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary. As the only Seal Rescue Centre in Norfolk which is open to the public, the attraction provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in an immersive sealife experience, feeding and caring for the beloved marine creatures. As well as awesome observation tunnels and incredible technicolour tanks, children can also join the centre’s team of rainforest rangers to get up close and personal with some of the most curious jungle creatures.
BeWILDerwood Adventure Park
If you thought you’d seen all the high-rope adventures there was to see, think again. You’ve not done adrenaline days out justice until you and your family pay a visit to BeWILDerwood Adventure Park. This award-winning forest adventure is one of the best family days out ever… a curious treehouse adventure zone where mischief and magic come to life. Slide down slippery slopes and whizz across wobbly wires, as you drift off to the enchanting adventure world, home to the Boggle of BeWILDerwood.
Wizard Maze
Quite simply a ‘field of fun’, the Wizard Maze and Play Park at Metton is one for when the sun shines. As children run riot in the 12-acre Maize Maze, parents can either join in the fun or relax with refreshments from the attraction’s cafe. Be sure to leave plenty of time to make the most of the go-karts and tractor train ride, too. They’re sure to be a hit if you have younger school-aged children in tow.
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure
A life-size dinosaur trail, complete with high-ropes, animal enclosures, and an awesome play park, amongst more? What more could your youngsters possibly wish for? Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure in Lenwade is the ultimate family fun day out for children of all ages. Surrounded by stunning woodland, complete with a breathtakingly beautiful deer safari, there’s no shortage of things to do at this dino-themed rip-roaring attraction. Pack your swim shorts, too! Dippy’s Splash Zone features over 30 prehistoric water play features.
Church Farm Stow Bardolph
Who says all days out have to be so fast-paced? Church Farm at Stow Bardolph is a fabulously fun family adventure, particularly for any children aged 0-11 amongst your clan. With playgrounds, treehouses, and even climbing sports on site, there’s plenty to keep youngsters entertained. When they’ve blown off some steam playing, don’t forget to stop by and say hello to some farmyard favourites, including horses, pigs, sheep, and donkeys.
